Donna Jo's writing ranges from contemporary fiction to fantasy to historical novels. She also writes mathematics tales, science tales, and mythology anthologies.  Finally, she co-directs a project that produces bimodal-bilingual videobooks for deaf children and their families.

Her books have been translated into Bulgarian, Chinese, Chinese (Complex), Danish, Dutch, Farsi, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Thai, and Vietnamese. You can find Publishers Weekly reviews of many of her books here.
